| This bus was built in 1940 by the legendary Howard Hughes. It is one of 8 he built when he was with RKO Studios. They served as his mobile dressing rooms for location filming. We are still researching who might have stayed in it!
The bus has mahogany interior equipped with a full instrumental dash board, airplane seats, bathroom with toilet and shower, electric refrigerator, stove, oven , swamp cooler air condition and a generator for the remote desert and mountain location--can you believe this was built in 1940! The Howard Hughes bus has arrived in Southern California and is now at Funky Junk Farms. |
